Initial Evaluation

We use standardized tests  to assess gross, fine and visual motor, visual perception, handwriting and sensory processing current functional levels.  By assessing all areas of development we can determine underlying causes for areas of challenge and identify your child's strengths. The initial evaluation includes about 2 hours of standardized testing in a natural environment, a written report of results, interpretation of the standardized scores, clinical observations, and recommendations, and a 1 hour parent education session to discuss the evaluation. Our goal is for parents to walk away not only with the results of the testing, but an understanding of the root cause of the areas of challenge and a foundation of early childhood development knowledge that we can build on during the course of treatment. If your child is determined to not need therapy services a home program recommendation will be developed and provided to the family as part of the evaluation cost. (If your family decides to proceed with therapy services weekly "OT homework" will be expected as part of the course of treatment).  These services typically take the therapist about 5-6 hours total and costs $550. If you are a returning client who has gone through parent education with us before, you can get a 2 hour evaluation and writeup of scores only for $250.

Treatment Sessions

Each child seen is given an individual plan of care. Therapeutic interventions are child-led but address individual goals. Children are seen individually for 60 minutes; 50 minutes of direct treatment with the final 10 minutes of the session reserved for parent education and assigning OT Homework.  Treatment costs $155 an hour. We see clients Monday-Saturday.

Billing

Direct client intervention is billed at $155 an hour. Travel time to get to the agreed upon area of intervention is not billed to the client if they live within our service area. We accept clients outside of our service area for an additional travel fee of 20 dollars and up, depending on distance and traffic.

We do not accept insurance at this time, all services are private pay. (Staying out of network gives parents greater power over the treatment- interventions are dictated by family needs, not insurance companies). Families will be provided with a bill to submit to insurance on an individual basis. If you need assistance with billing, we can refer you to services dedicated to helping families get reimbursement. Bills will be sent out monthly, services not paid within 2 weeks of receiving the bill will have a hold placed on therapy intervention. Bills can be paid by check to Pegasus Therapy, PLLC or via credit card through Square .

Therapy should be fun!
